FAQS

Getting Started & General Care

A: All clinicians must hold an active professional license and complete interviews, background checks, health screenings, license verification, and clinical competency check-offs before providing care in the home.

A: Yes. Nurses complete in-office clinical training, skills validation, and supervised in-home orientation with an experienced Entrusted nurse before working independently.

A: We offer Occupational Therapy (OT), Physical Therapy (PT), and Speech Therapy (ST). Our team continues to grow to meet family needs.

A: Please first refer to your physician and hospital care team on how to safely care for your child. For your convenience, we have provided a few Tracheostomy Care videos in the resource section.

Scheduling, Coverage & Availability

A: Private Duty Nursing schedules are confirmed by our office team. Therapy schedules are matched based on family availability, therapist location, and caseload to ensure the best possible fit.

A: Yes. During intake, we gather your availability and work to align care with preferred days, times, and locations whenever possible.

A: We prioritize consistency and aim to schedule the same clinician whenever possible. If a provider is unavailable, a make-up visit or alternate clinician may be offered.

A: We make every effort to cover open shifts if a nurse calls off, but replacement coverage cannot be guaranteed.

A: If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911. For any non-emergency needs, please contact your local Entrusted office.

A: If you need to cancel care for any reason, please notify your local Entrusted office as soon as possible. Prompt communication allows us to inform our clinicians and adjust schedules accordingly.

Insurance, Authorization & Hours of Care

A: Entrusted accepts Medicaid and most major commercial insurance plans. Our team handles all insurance verification and required pre-authorizations.

A: Care can range up to 24/7, depending on medical need and insurance approval. Expected hours are discussed with families before services begin.

Therapy-Specific Care & Progress

A: We coordinate care as needed. Therapy evaluations are sent to the physician, with progress updates provided every 60 days or as required.

A: Your therapist will provide a Home Exercise/Education Plan (HEP) after each visit. These activities are essential to progress and updated as your child develops.

A: Yes. Caregivers may opt in by signing a Telehealth consent. Services are provided when allowed by state regulations and insurance guidelines.

During Visis & Family Expectations

A: Yes. An approved caregiver must be present during all therapy visits. Required consents are completed during the initial evaluation.

A: Therapists may bring equipment as needed but often use items already in the home. This supports skill carryover and helps families practice between visits.
